This symposium provides a forum for the exchange of ideas between scientists and clinicians in the general practice community, academic institutions, the biotechnology sector, and the pharmaceutical industry. Topics to be addressed include: growth factors and growth factor receptors as therapeutic targets; steroid hormonal receptors and hormonal manipulation in the treatment of cancer; angiogenesis and the metastatic process as targets for therapeutic development; signal transduction and cell cycle pathways as targets for therapy; role of biologic imaging in cancer therapy; gene therapy, vaccines, and target pathway identification in cancer treatment; and biologic markers and predictive/prognostic factors. |
