...and not enough women are checking themselves for breast cancer. A study conducted by Breast Imaging in Claremont has found that while most women are no longer embarrassed by their bodies, just seventeen per cent carry out monthly examinations. Dr Peter Goodwin:

"There may be a tendency to think, well, look, I'm having my regular screening mammogram every two years then I should be pretty right but, in fact, two years is a long gap between having a regular breast check and really the screening mammogram shouldn't be relied solely on."
